Route: Niezniszczalny Raróg 75km+
The Bieszczady Mountains are a picturesque region located in the southeastern part of the country. With their stunning views, the Bieszczady attract tourists even during the off-season. It’s here that fans of mountain running can test their abilities by participating in the Ultrabies Mountain Running event.
The Niezniszczalny Raróg 75+ was introduced in the second edition of UltraBies to fill the gap between the Treacherous Rusałka 55+ and the Spirited Czad 100+. It is designed for runners who wish to take on an ultra-distance challenge in the Bieszczady but are not yet ready for the full 100 kilometers. This route includes an elevation gain of +2800m.
The Indestructible Raróg 75+ starts at the Bóbrka Quarry. The first half of the course offers relatively easy, flat running through some of the most iconic attractions in this part of the Bieszczady, including the dams in Myczkowce and Solina. This stage concludes after a half-marathon distance with a checkpoint in Polańczyk. The next 14 kilometers feature a more varied terrain, already familiar to participants from previous UltraBies races, ending with a checkpoint in Górzanka. This location gained fame during the first edition for its excellent refreshments. Here begins the true Bieszczady adventure. By this point, participants will have covered 35 kilometers and will face the course's major mountain highlights.
From Górzanka, a 13-kilometer section leads to the Łopienka checkpoint, a scenic spot nestled in a forest near a historic Orthodox church. Along the way, runners will tackle Korbania. The next segment, leading to the Nadleśnictwo Cisna checkpoint, is a classic UltraBies challenge: the ascent (or for the bold, the run) to the summit of Łopiennik. Remember: what happens at Łopiennik, stays at Łopiennik. The reward for conquering this peak is a nearly 5-kilometer downhill stretch, concluding at the Nadleśnictwo Cisna checkpoint at the 58-kilometer mark, where refreshments and cold snacks await.
From Cisna, the route continues to Jeleni Skok (Mochanczka), 777m above sea level. From there, participants follow forest paths toward the black trail on Falowa. The race finishes after 75 kilometers at the Jaworzec Shelter in Jaworzec.
